Cheeseburgers will not be a featured-item throughout Central New York as we head into March. The Post Standard reports that at least five Central New York school districts have been affected by a beef recall in California. Six area districts plan to change their lunch menus until the investigation concludes. Just last week, The U.S. Department of Agriculture ordered a recall of more than 140 million pounds of beef from a California meatpacker—nearly 37 pounds of which had believed to have been sent out to the nation’s schools.
